In Europe, AmaWaterways’ largest fleet sails the legendary rivers of the Danube, Rhine, Main, Moselle, Seine, Rhône, Saône, Dordogne, Garonne, and the Dutch and Belgian Waterways. These ships — including the AmaLea, AmaLucia, AmaStella, AmaPrima, AmaCerto, AmaReina, AmaKristina, and others — carry an intimate 156 to 196 guests, offering spacious staterooms, twin-balcony designs, heated pools, and multiple dining venues.
Douro River
On Portugal’s Douro River, the AmaDouro, AmaVida, and AmaSintra navigate the golden valley of Port wine, their compact size perfectly suited to the Douro’s narrow locks and steep vineyards.
Asia
In Asia, the elegant AmaDara sails the Mekong River between Vietnam and Cambodia, blending French colonial design with contemporary style and expansive staterooms that capture the vibrant life along the riverbanks.

In Africa, the Zambezi Queen explores Botswana’s Chobe River, a floating boutique safari lodge that offers an intimate wildlife experience with daily game viewing by boat.

In Colombia, AmaWaterways introduces the AmaMagdalena, the first luxury river ship to explore the majestic Magdalena River, offering cultural immersion, music, and color unique to South America’s soul.
New Ships on the Horizon

In 2026, the elegant AmaSofia will make her debut, sailing the legendary Rhine and Danube Rivers, bringing new levels of comfort and contemporary design to these storied waterways.
In 2027, guests can look forward to not one but two remarkable additions:
- AmaRudi, inspired by the revolutionary design of the AmaMagna, will feature a wider double-hull structure that allows for expanded staterooms, more dining venues, and generous social spaces — redefining what river cruising can be.
- AmaFiora, also launching in 2027, will bring her own refined elegance to the Rhine River. Featuring AmaWaterways’ signature twin-balcony staterooms, a heated pool on the Sun Deck, The Chef’s Table specialty restaurant, and a wellness area with a fitness room, massage services, and salon, AmaFiora will blend comfort, style, and innovation seamlessly.
