By booking travel services through Sea & Sun Travel Agency, LLC (“Sea & Sun Travel,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) via the Ama by Sea & Sun website, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions below. These terms govern all travel arrangements made on your behalf with AmaWaterways and any associated suppliers.
1. Master Terms & Conditions

Please review that document carefully, as it governs all bookings, planning fees, payments, and cancellation policies.
2. AmaWaterways Partnership
Sea & Sun Travel Agency, LLC is a proud Certified River Cruise Expert and Preferred Partner of AmaWaterways. All AmaWaterways travel arrangements are subject to AmaWaterways’ official Terms & Conditions, policies, and procedures, which are available at www.
AmaWaterways reserves the right to modify or amend its terms, programs, and inclusions without notice. Sea & Sun Travel acts as an independent travel advisor and is not responsible for any changes, omissions, or decisions made by AmaWaterways or its affiliates.
3. AmaWaterways Loyalty Program
AmaWaterways offers a Loyalty Appreciation Program providing exclusive benefits for returning guests. These may include cruise savings, onboard recognition, and member-only sailings. Details are available directly at: AmaWaterways Loyalty Program.
Eligibility and benefits are determined solely by AmaWaterways and may vary by sailing, itinerary, and year.
4. Travel Advisories
Guests are responsible for staying informed of travel advisories and entry requirements issued by relevant governments. Current updates and advisories can be found here: AmaWaterways Travel Updates.
Sea & Sun Travel will make every effort to provide timely information, but we are not liable for any losses or penalties resulting from government travel restrictions, changes to protocols, or denied entry.
5. Health & Safety Protocols
AmaWaterways maintains detailed health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all guests, crew, and communities visited. Protocols may include vaccination or testing requirements, mask policies, and enhanced cleaning measures.

6. AmaWaterways Air Program
Guests may choose to book air travel through AmaWaterways’ Air Program, which includes flexible ticketing options, transfer coordination, and 24/7 support for en route issues. Learn more at: AmaWaterways Air Travel Program.
Please note: when booking air through AmaWaterways, all airline conditions, baggage fees, and operational policies apply.
7. Travel Protection Plans
We strongly recommend all guests purchase travel protection. AmaWaterways offers its own travel protection program; details can be reviewed here: AmaWaterways Travel Protection Plans.
Sea & Sun Travel may also offer third-party travel protection options. Coverage varies based on plan selection and must be purchased prior to final payment for full benefits. Sea & Sun Travel highly recommends that travelers purchase travel protection or travel insurance plans to protect their investment.
8. Stateroom Upgrades
Guests may be eligible to upgrade their stateroom through AmaWaterways’ “Upgrade with PlusGrade” program. Participation is optional and subject to availability. Details: Upgrade Your Stateroom.
9. Passports & Visas
All travelers are responsible for ensuring that their passports and visas are valid and meet the requirements of every country on their itinerary.
Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your date of departure from the trip.
Travelers are responsible for obtaining any required visas or travel authorizations.
Travelers are responsible for confirming all legal entry requirements, including restrictions related to prior criminal convictions or pending charges.
Guests who may have criminal backgrounds should consult with an immigration attorney to ensure proper documentation and eligibility for travel.
Sea & Sun Travel and AmaWaterways are not responsible for denied boarding or entry due to noncompliance with these requirements.
10. New Entry/Exit System (EES) for Europe
Beginning October 12, 2025, European countries within the Schengen Area will gradually implement a new Entry/Exit System (EES) — an automated IT system for registering non-European nationals traveling for short stays.
This system will collect biometric data (facial image and fingerprints) and record when travelers enter and exit Schengen countries. EES will impact AmaWaterways itineraries visiting the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, and Switzerland.
The system is expected to be fully implemented by April 10, 2026. Travelers are advised to review the latest information and consult with Sea & Sun Travel or AmaWaterways if they have concerns about processing times or border requirements.
11. What to Pack
Packing well ensures a smooth, comfortable journey. AmaWaterways recommends:

12. Accessibility & Health
AmaWaterways itineraries may require a moderate to challenging level of walking and may include uneven terrain, cobblestones, and steps.
Due to local conditions and ship design:
Wheelchairs, scooters, or mobility aids are not permitted for use onboard public areas.
Travelers with mobility challenges should be accompanied by a physically able companion.
Embarkation and disembarkation may require crossing other vessels or narrow gangways.
If you have questions about accessibility or physical requirements, please inform Sea & Sun Travel at the time of booking so accommodations can be evaluated.
13. Shipboard Credit by Sea & Sun Travel
Sea & Sun Travel Agency provides exclusive shipboard credit to our AmaWaterways clients. Credit value is based on stateroom category, sailing length, and available promotions:
Credits are typically applied 2–3 weeks prior to departure after final payment. Shipboard credit may be used for onboard drinks, gratuities, salon and spa services, laundry, and boutique purchases. Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable. If a sailing is canceled, any unused credit reverts to Sea & Sun Travel Agency, LLC.

16. Limitation of Liability
Sea & Sun Travel acts solely as an intermediary between travelers and AmaWaterways, airlines, hotels, and other suppliers. We are not responsible for acts, errors, or omissions of third parties or for events beyond our control, including weather delays, government actions, or changes to itineraries.
17. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a booking inquiry, signing a planning agreement, submitting payment to Sea & Sun Travel, or booking your AmaWaterways cruise through Sea & Sun Travel, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms & Conditions listed here, on the Sea & Sun Travel website and AmaWaterways Terms & Conditions listed on their website and in the booking confirmation.
